As an ICU nurse and a Registry Nurse, I sometimes get assigned to the med-surg floors where they don't have continuous oxygen saturation monitoring on patients, so this is handy when you suspect something is wrong with your patient respiratory-wise, instead of wasting time in having to look for the units own device.
This is fool proof since all you have to do is clip it on a finger and it automatically reads the saturation. So far, its been very accurate, since i've been comparing it with our bedside monitors.
