Q: How do you see movies after hooked up, no instructions to turn on or in the box?

A: You have to download the app on your smart tv and then use the app to download the unlocked movie to the hard drive. I've found that it takes forever which makes this product useless for 4k content.

A: Same for me. In order to access the movie, you have to create an account on the MGO app if you don't have one yet. Then you can access your 2 free movies in the library from there. Hope I made my self clear.

A: M-go didn't go out of business, they got bought out by Fandango. The service is now called FandangoNOW. You can still use this device for uhd HDR movies on FandangoNOW or any other video platform that uses Vidity.

Stores a lot makes 4K possible
You need this to actually watch any 4K content. It comes with movies preloaded and space for more. Two are free that you have to activate via the MGO app. You must always have an Internet connection to use this device. That is the only bummer.

Does the job it was made for
Purchased a new Samsung SUHD 4K TV that came with $100 credit for MGO movies. Unfortunately in order to watch 4K MGO movies smoothly some of the content has to be buffered to a fast local hard drive that's also licensed for this online service. There are only 2 drives that support this service. This Western Digital is the more affordable one of the two and does the job just fine. Watching 4K with HDR on an SUHD TV is awesome, you can definitely tell the difference between regular 4K and HDR 4K.

No freebie
Just by buying this drive, you will not get a free movie, which is a shame. Yes 4K movies are around $30, but a similar non-cinema drive is cheap these days. However, if you do have one of the high-end TV sets, you will get 2 free movies. In my case, I was not given the choice which ones, so that was a major letdown. In case you didn't know. the drive comes preloaded with a series of movies, you can then unlock them through your M-GO account (which you need to set up on your computer). You can of course remove the ones you do not like, and purchase new ones to be downloaded to the drive itself for watching them later. If you like 4K, and don't have a super fast internet connection, this really is the way to go !
