Forbidden Planet review
Love this movie. Bought it to go along with a Robbie the Robot I got for a birthday present. Glad they had it in stock and came a day ahead of time.
This is the film that took a light year leap from all prior attempts at sic-fi stories in motion pictures.
The film approached its subject with a logical story and as a totally believable adventure. A valid storyline is also enhanced with much improved special effects and sound.
Forbidden Planet changed the genre and gave sic-fi movies a new standard for others to follow. Its concept was copied over and over again as the leader and innovator for its era that eventually led to the next generation for sci-fi that started with the classic "2001".
This movie has always been one of my favorite sci-fi movies. It’s suspenseful, doesn’t over do the evil that is present and introduces Robbie the robot and brings some laughter to the theme. Quality actors and pretty good special effects for its time!
