Q: What are the dimensions? One can't buy a trash can without knowing the dimensions, since most people are trying to fit the trash can into an under the counter space.

A: The height (from top to bottom) with the lid closed is 16.7" (423mm), the height (from top to bottom) with the lid open is 25" (637mm), the width (from left to right) is 15.3" (387mm) and the depth (from front to back) is 11.3 (285mm).

Q: Regarding my previous question about holes in the bottom of the trash can. There are 4 2-inch long open slots in the bottom of the trash can. Why are they there, and why is the bottom not closed with a solid bottom?

A: This is normal, these are vent holes that make it easier to take out the trash bag and prevent the bag from sticking to the walls.

Q: What are the measurements? How tall vertically? This needs to fit within a certain space for me.

A: The height with the lid closed is 16.7" (423mm) and the height with the lid open is 25" (637mm).

Q: If the censor of this trash can doesn't work for any reason then where is the handle to open it?

A: Press the Open button to open the lid and press the Close button again to close the lid.

Q: Why are there holes in the bottom of the can? One would think that the bottom is sealed, in case of leaks.

A: It breaks the vacuum that forms as a bag fills & forces the air out from between the bag & can...making it difficult to pull bag out.
