Unlike its predecessor, Retro Pack 2 was released in the Americas many years ago, but had an extremely limited release, so it was still hard to find. But like its predecessor, we’re making every effort for the cards in the Retro Pack 2 re-release to be as retro as they can be, so just like before they’ll have the original card frames and card look and the original card names and texts. It’s another time capsule from the past! And just like last time, we made a little change, and doubled the drop rate for foil cards compared to the original Retro Pack 2. So it will be twice as easy to get foil cards from Retro Pack 2 (2025 re-release) as it was from Retro Pack 2 (2009 original release).

Retro Pack, the lost booster set, was never released in North America. Now, as part of our ongoing anniversary celebration, you can finally fill this missing hole in your collection! Only released overseas, Retro Pack was a collection of vintage cards from the earliest days of the game, made to catch up other countries to the North American card pool. But since it was never released here, these exact cards can be hard to find – until now! And unlike the booster set reprints that kicked off our anniversary last July, Retro Pack will be as retro as we can make it including the original card frames and card look and the original card names and texts. It’s a time capsule from the past! All the way down to the special Limited Edition labeling on Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon! There’s just one little change to the set you’ll probably like, though: The drop rates for the foil cards are double that of the original version. So, it will be twice as easy to get foil cards from Retro Pack 2024 as it was from Retro Pack 2008!

Last year’s 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection blew everyone’s socks off, so we started work on a sequel right away. In order to get it out as fast as we can, we’ve made some changes to the configuration while leaving all the good stuff (and value!) intact. 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II packs have twice as many Ultra & Secret Rares per pack, which gives you twice as many chances at “luxury rares” per pack (Quarter Century Secret Rares, “Prismatic”-style Ultimate & Collector’s Rares, and Platinum Rares)! We’ve cut back on the packaging, so there will be fewer packs you’ll need to open (and fewer foil wrappers to throw away) to get the same number of the cards you’re looking for. (And with double the cards per pack, about two-thirds of packs should have at least one “luxury rare”, this time, and around a third should have more than one. You could even get up to SIX “luxury rares” in the same pack, this time around!) If you missed out on the first Rarity Collection, here’s how it works: Every card in the set is available in every rarity, with 3 “standard” rarities (Super Rare, Ultra rare, Secret Rare), and four special “luxury’” rarities: Quarter Century Secret Rares (celebrating the 25th anniversary with tons of sparkle and a watermark logo!), Platinum Secret Rares, “Prismatic”-style Collector’s Rares (previously available only overseas), and “Prismatic”-style Ultimate Rares (with special 3D varnish, and also available only overseas until recently). Opening Rarity Collection packs is a rapid-fire waterfall of high-powered cards, in seven of the game’s most popular foil rarities.
