This adapter does fir a 2000 Ford Mustang V6 base, however, there will be issues. Ford tied a lot of things into the radio, simply hooking up this adapter will cause you to lose your cigarette lighter port and your interior lights will always be on while driving. If you look up the schematics, it can be bypassed, but it's not fun.

My 1993 Ford Explorer is a Limited trim package, which means it has an upgraded audio system from the factory with an amp and sub. This adapter had the right connectors in it for my application while many other ones simply did not. Note that this item does still work for a standard audio system. Best Buy's price on this item is absolutely insanely high! On the order of magnitude of 4 times the cost of an online retailer. If you're looking for this item, my local Best Buy kept it hidden in the back in the car audio install bay - ask a blue shirt to look there if it's not on the floor.

First, in case anyone was wondering, this is the correct harness for a 1998 Ford Mustang for both sound systems. NOT THE HARNESS BESTBUY HAS IN THEIR SYSTEM! The wires were presliced and the rubber cover was already cut so it could be easily spliced. Totally worth the money to save myself from cutting into the factory harness

Exactly what was needed for my 2000 mustang. I was having issues identifying which harness to get, turns out you have one for the cars with Mach and one for the cars without and this fit perfectly for my mustang with the Mach sound system.

I bought this for a 1997 Ford Mustang GT with the mark for 60 stereo system I had to Sauter RCA connections on the preamp wire when I wired it straight in the stereo had too much power output and Max the amp out too quick

Yhe whole thing works together well. There had to be a fee adjustments made to to the fact I had a much older car.

I love it . Still haven't figured out how to use all the features but will when I get my new glasses and can read the manual .Would never buy anything but JVC.

This product was labeled very well and was color coded with my kenwood wiring harness. Definitely something you should look into if you're wiring your new radio at home.
