About this product

Mountain Heart returns in 2016 with Blue Skies, their first studio album in five years. The same soulfulness that gave the band its name in the first place is still there, but now voiced through a blend of musicians that make room not just for their bluegrass legacy, but also singer/songwriter ballads, classic country, R&B, and modern folk pop. Mountain Heart completely reinvents themselves around long-time members Josh Shilling and Aaron Ramsey. Jeff Partin and Seth Taylor joined after the band's last album was released and violinist and vocalist Molly Cherryholmes (five-time Grammy-nominee) joined just weeks before Blue Skies studio sessions were to begin. Shilling, barely into his 30s, wrote most of the material on Blue Skies, with a Chris Stapleton and Ronnie Bowman co-write and a stellar rendition of Bob Dylan's InchMaggie's FarmInch rounding out the set. Every member of the new Mountain Heart is a multi-instrumentalist and could also be considered a lead singer, which makes the possibilities both onstage and in the studio limitless. Album Tracks 1. Blue Skies 2. Miss Me When I'm Gone 3. Maggie's Farm 4. No One to Listen 5. She'll Come Back to Me 6. Addicted 7. The Bad Grounds 8. Have You Heard About the Old Hometown 9. I Can't Get Over You 10. Hurting

Mark Pritchard - Four Worlds - VINYL LP

Mark Pritchard returns this Spring with The Four Worlds. An eight-track body or work further exploring the sonic worlds first encountered on 2016's critically acclaimed opus Under The Sun. Having already collaborated on his last record with Thom Yorke, Bibio and Linda Perhacs, as well as touring with James Blake, The Four Worlds features Pritchard working with a collection of underground poets and musicians including Colorado's psychedelic heroine Space Lady on InchS.O.SInch, and eighties cult radio artist Gregory Whitehead on InchCome Let UsInch.A1. The Hillbenders - The Hillbenders - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

2018 . Hard-charging bluegrass outfit The Hillbenders are celebrating their 10 year anniversary as a band with the of an eponymous new album and an anniversary tour. The Hillbenders is the follow-up to Missouri quintet's critically acclaimed 2015 , Tommy A Bluegrass Opry, an acoustic interpretation of The Who's legendary rock opera of the same name. Rolling Stone said the album turned Inchthat pivotal moment in rock history upside down but still retained it's stunning creative juice. The Hillbenders were able to recruit Eric Uglum (Ralph Stanley, Alison Krauss, Sara Watkins, Rob Ickes) to produce The Hillbenders and all 11 tracks were cut live with the entire band, with the only overdubs being additional harmony vocals. As usual with this band, they all write and sing. The Hillbenders also came across some interesting cover selections to help tell their story, pulling from the electro-pop world with a grassy version of MGMT's InchKids.Inch There's also a Inchco-writeInch with the late, great John Hartford that came from guitarist Jim Rea, who crafted the music and melody to lyrics found in Hartford's book, InchWord Movies.Inch High energy performances, a diverse catalog, and a slice of humor make way for what appears to be more of a brotherhood than a business-and each audience they play for becomes a part of that family. Album Tracks 1. Hey Boys 2. Go Away 3. Kids 4. Wrong Way 5. Don't Look at Me 6. Lost Your Way 7. I've Got a Mind to Move on 8. Sod Buster 9. Wishing Well 10. Planes, Trains & Automobiles 11.
