Fantastic
It’s been awhile since I have had a proper CD player connected to a proper stereo system for excellent listening. I got this one because it seems pretty no frills - just a single loading CD player (I have always found multi-disc players to be so frustrating and prone to breaking) from a brand known to make quality components. The build quality did not disappoint. It is heavy and feels like a solid component. The remote is laughably large, and I don’t suspect I will ever lose the thing because it is so huge. I have this CD player connected to a Sonos Connect which broadcasts to the other Sonos equipped rooms in my home. In my living room I have a stereo pair of Sonos Ones with a sub, which exceeds the quality of any stereo setup I have ever had. I was blown away with the sound from the first CD I played. It sounded like a live performance. There is so much that is missing from streaming or from playing MP3’s. I spent the whole evening revisiting my old CD collection. The reproduction for a system at this reasonable price point is incredible. I also did some comparison between Spotify and the CD- there was just so much that Spotify was missing compared to the CD. If you still like the tactile experience of listening to an album, this is an excellent CD player to get. My partner has his record player and now I have my CD player. I’m looking forward to many years of listening enjoyment with this unit. This doesn’t seem to be regularly stocked in Best Buy stores, and like other reviewers they beat shipping estimates by a week. (Original estimate was 2 weeks, I got it after one week). I also ordered this in-store so they could match the price of another online retailer - that giant one with prime real estate in Seattle. I generally don’t buy high ticket items from them, though, because some of the third parties can be shady. Best Buy matched the price with no problem.

Works like a charm
Wanted an affordable CD player to fit into a particular slot in our tv/media cabinet. None of the multi-disc players would fit but this single disc player met my needs at an affordable price. I have owned numerous Pioneer products over the years and they have all been totally reliable. This was an easy plug and play install right out of the box.

great CD player
This CD player is very solidly built and and has a very quiet CD mechanism as well as a top DAC. It is still a recent puchase but it is working flawlessly. My only wish is that it had digital outputs.
