Was shopping for a CD player for a little while now, old one bit the dust! 80's! LOL. Happened to come across this one on the Best Buy Web site. It was only about $40 more than the one I was considering, it was a single disk player. This one appealed to me because it is a 6 disc player/changer. I've had it for a couple of weeks now. The quality is nice and I love that is holds 6 CDs and you can shuffle play between all discs. My only concern is, how will the player hold up over the years with the shuffle play? The entire CD platter rotates around to shuffle the discs. Onkyo has been around for a long time, so only time will tell. I haven't really read all the instructions yet,, so I am still learning about this player. One thing I don't like or haven't figured out.... is when you shut it down, in the middle of a disc playing and you fire the player up again... it doesn't start at the song where you left off. It does remember the disc you were last on. That's pretty cool! So far I really like the player. Thank you Onkyo and BestBuy!!!

Very happy with my Onkyo multi disc CD player. Easy setup and works great and smoothly and I love the option to load up to 6 CD’s to play in order or randomly. I would absolutely recommend this unit.

I had to return the first one due to skipping and its inability to perceive data between tracks on live CDs. The second unit sounded good and so far, it functions well although not having yet used every option available. This the only CD unit in the store anything else requires shipment. Easy to order and return for second unit from Best Buy. Friendly staff.

I play it almost every day. It has great sound and is easy to use. I enjoying playing 6 CD's at a time. It plays for hours.
After getting burned on a mint but old (20 years) Sony multi CD player, it was time to invest in something brand new. I opted to purchase an open-box unit and this Onkyo has been amazing. Ultra quiet and fast disc tray, solid build quality, and all the right display info makes this a joy to use. My player was manufactured in November of last year, and they are probably the only brand making new multi-disc CD players, so I’m happy to finally play my collection in something that isn’t goin to fall apart anytime soon. And with Geek Squad only being about the same price of two McDonald’s meal, having that four year piece of mind is a plus.

Replacing my reliable Panasonic 5 disk player of 35 years and the Onkyo works although I'm finding that the "random" option seems to repeat some cds often rather than an even shuffle. Overall glad to have found a reasonably priced 6 disk player and nice to have a remote!

I never thought I would love a carousel type CD player. The Onkyo CD player has completely changed my thoughts. Married with my Onkyo TX-RZ610 receiver and Definitive Technology speakers this player puts out great sound. It is easy to load and selection of music can be controlled with the remote. Would recommend highly recommend this product.

Most manufacturers do not put a lot of effort into designing cd changers like they do in single disk players due to audiophiles prefer single disk players, but when it comes to cd changers you would be hard pressed to find a better cd changer at this price point for sound quality. When I was shopping around for a CD player, I narrowed down to the Onkyo and the Integra. (Onkyos high end line.) When comparing the 2 models, I couldn’t find a big difference between the two to justify The additional $120 price difference. Overall I’m very pleased with the sound quality of the Onkyo 6 disk changer. It’s not like my Marantz 6006, but the Onkyo sounds pleasing to my ears. The only reason I didn’t give the player 5 stars is due to the god awful green light. A soft blue or white light would have been a better choice. Maybe even a soft green would have been fine, but the bright green light has to go.....

This is a must have for a CD fan. The level of convenience and quality this system gives is second to none. Six disc's are available at your request from a remote.

This was used to replace a pioneer cd changer in a rack system purchased in Japan, in 1989 (Air Force vet) that stopped working. This was a open box (but, still pricy). Shipped in the original box. The item looked brand new. no dents, scratches etc. All buttons worked including the remote. It seems CD players for the home intertainment centers are being phased out , thus the pricy sale tag. A better product than the item it replaced.. I have never purchased an open box item however, I am very pleased with my purchase

Upgraded to replace a 20 year old Sony 5 disc carousel. If you still have an extensive CD collection this is a good choice. A nice feature is you can change discs without stopping the music. Tray opening, closing, rotating is fast. Front display has basic functions of song length, count up or down. Randon function takes 12 seconds to scan the discs which seems a little long. I guess 2 seconds per disc is reasonable. The remote control is basic. You must have visual sight of the player for it to work. Don't close the cabinet. There are not many options for multi disc CD players now. I am pairing this with a Sony ES receiver and a Bose Acoustimass speaker system. I am pleased with the function and sound. RCA jacks and a coaxial connection only. HDMI or optical would have been nice. This is probably the end of the line for multi disc CD players. End of an era

Needed to replace a Sony 5 disc changer that after 12 years stopped working, saw this online, read some reviews, owned and loved Onkyo products previously, you had it for pickup at the store, connected two wires: ‘Voila!’ Couldn’t be happier!

I purchase an Onkyo system back in 1997 and it has been very good for many years. The 5 disc CD Player became non-functional so i was in search of a replacement. I was actually looking for a single CD Player but came upon this new 6 Disc Onkyo player. It hooked right up with the same space and connections and performs beautifully.

When our current cd changer quit working, we were having trouble finding one did a Best Buy search and you guys actually had it in stock. We were totally stoked because we want to play our Christmas music CDs. What made it even better? It was on sale.

This has been a very happy CD player, compared to the last two. So far, it has had no problem playing my CD's, some of which are 40 years old. Can't believe how time has flown by. Being able to load 6 disks at a time is just wonderful. I am very happy with it, and would buy one again....well, I sure hope it never comes to that.
