Q: Does this unit come pre-assembled
A: Hi Steve, It does not, assembly is required. However it ships with all parts and hardware, as well as step by step assembly instructions. You can purchase an in-home assembly service through Best Buy called "The Geek Squad" but you would need to discuss pricing with them directly. Our TV stands take about an hour to put together on average. Hope that helps!
A: Hi! This is a great question. The unit heats at 89.6 degrees. Its output in BTUs is 4400 BTU. To turn on the fireplace there are switches on the front. I understand the concern here wanting to stay safe; the heat is from a COIL heater and is blown out by a fan inside the unit.
