Echo Auto Amazon has done it
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This echo connect easily connected to my Acura, I was able to connect to the app, now I can control my whole automated house hands free while driving. My only issue is with the mount I wanted to add to my dash as the provided mount was not useful connected to my air vents. So I got some Velcro from EZ-pass location and mounted just like my Ez-pass. Amazon please consider a different mounting strategy.

Awesome Alexa device
||Posted .Easy setup took less than 5min for me I like to read instructions. Paired easily with my phone and car, then only issue I have is sometimes it has a short pause/ cutout. Other than that I love it, always love listening to my favs on long drives without having to reach for the phone. Simple voice command and she starts playing your station.

Echo Auto speaker
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I bought 6 of this speaker and gave other to my friends. I want them to experience how nice to listen to the music while driving. The quality of sound brings you to your living room. I like the voice command, just tell Alexa whom you want to call. I got the echo dot on sale, the 1st one it cost me $21.19 and the rest $16.15 with tax. I am still waiting for clearance to buy more to be gifted to my love ones.

Works for me, sort of.
||Posted .Works great to access Amazon services but Amazon wants ALL your info. If you want to text someone they have to be on Amazon's list. It's very easy to call up music but not to call up Siri. My car is older so the bluetooth in the car is relatively primitive. I could receive telephone calls easily but making calls was downright dangerous, so I unpaired my phone. I ended up with two Bluetooth devices in my car, a microphone and speaker for the telephone and communication, and the Echo for entertainment. This Amazon Echo is attached to my audio line input and enables me to have some of the current streaming technology. It's not perfect but it's the best solution that I've found so far for my situation.

Like more than I thought I would
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I am an avid user of these Alexa products but did not see the benefit of a version for a vehicle. I truck had all of the features I needed. I recently purchased a fully loaded from the factory (previous one was all after market) truck and it did not have BT audio even though it had phone connectivity. I found myself missing BT audio more than I thought. I tried a couple of products and reluctantly tried this one. It gave me BT audio and more. There are a few drawbacks for me but those are out weighed by the benefits. One that I would like to see changed on the next version is its own speaker for Alexa responses. At present your stereo has to be tuned to the correct input for all audio from Alexa. If I just want to ask a simple question or quick request I will not hear anything unless my stereo is on AUX. I think Alexa should be heard through it’s own speaker and any music, podcasts, Audibles, etc could then come from the BT or AUX connection. This way if I am listening to FM or XM I could still uses Alexa.

AMAZON ECHO AUTO REVIEW: SO... HOW DUMB IS YOUR CAR?My wife is practical. She always prefers to flip a switch or press a button, instead of asking Alexa or Google. And even though I'm the one who put a cheap smart speaker in every room of the house, I often have to agree: It's usually more reliable

Amazon Echo Auto ReviewThe Amazon Echo Auto ($49.99) lets you take the company's Alexa voice assistant along for the ride. It's a nondescript little device that plugs into your car's 12-volt outlet (or USB port if you have one) and connects to your phone's Alexa app to

Q: QuestionWhere does it mount,does ?
Asked by Samuel.
- A:Answer Mounts on air vent, but only certain ones. Gives list of compatible vents.
Answered by Roro
Q: Questionwill it provide route guidance
Asked by Bill.
- A:Answer Yes, by default Echo uses google maps on an android or apple maps on an iphone. However, under settings there is a traffic section and you can change it to waze. If you have gas buddy, you can even ask 'Alexa ask gasbuddy for the nearest gas station' or 'Alexa ask gas buddy for the lowest gas price near me'. There is also an app it works with for parking, 'ParkWhiz' and I think one other, but I'm not sure. Sometimes, she doesn't understand my request and it takes a while to get it right. My dad lives on a numbered street, and what happens is it combines the house and street number. (ex. 'Alexa I would like directions to 4 7th street becomes 47th street.) So in that case, I have to drop the house number. You can ask things like, where is the nearest grocery store (or any other type of business). There is a way to add a stop to the navigation, however, I don't remember it right now. I use my echo for the radio tuner now. The easiest way to have a radio station is to know it's call sign. 'Alexa, I want to listen to KOSF radio'. You can also use it to open the navigation app, then issue a 'Alexa, cancel navigation' and that will leave waze (or apple/google) up. I like that for having a speed limit indicator available.
