Great Mic at a Great Price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Blue Yeti recently kicked the bucket. I considered buying a new Yeti, but then saw the Yeti Nano. I use it for content creating and live streaming. I’ve only had it for a week, but the audio quality is just as good as the Yeti in my opinion. I’ve seen the complaints about no gain knob on the back and using an app on your computer instead, but honestly it isn’t a big deal for me. Most of my voice settings are set up in my DAW anyways. It is definitely smaller than the Yeti, and if you’re looking to save a few bucks, but still want Yeti quality then I would definitely recommend the Yeti Nano.

Amazing microphone for a unbelievable price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First hearing about the Nano I was completely unsure but willing to give it a shot since my Blue Snowball has lasted me many years. Right out of the box this thing is ready to go and feels incredibly sturdy in the hand + the stand design is pretty neat. This comes with some features I’d like to point out, the ring in the middle of the mic is not only a volume slider (twisting it left or right) but also used as a MUTE or UNMUTE button by a really easy press. On the back is a flat button that you only really have to touch to change between omnidirectional (just you) and multidirectional (you + however many other voices) audio input. The whole mic itself can be positioned to be either tilted forward so much that it’s literally upside down or just keep it straight up! Pros: Compact Great input for single person use Great input for multi person use Simple cable management Sleek design Cons: Cable disconnects occasionally through simple movement My honest rating on this microphone is a solid 9/10 only reason I could not give it a 10 is because the cable coming loose sometimes can be real inconvenient when playing certain games.

Decent microphone, when on sale
|Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PROS: LED indicator for mute, headphone out with dial for volume, comes with a mounting adapter CONS: Micro-USB Managed to get this on sale for $50, a total steal. Probably still worth it at ~$75. I'm not an audio person, I just needed a mic. The biggest issue by far is the micro-USB. The provided cable barely fits under the mic when using the stand, meaning there's stress on the port. And micro-USB is notorious for breaking with even light usage. This is a problem many Logitech products have, with it only being fixed with recent refreshes. If you are unplugging and replugging your mic frequently, I would recommend one that uses USB-C

Yeti? Maybe
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's great, but lacks instructions for use. As it acts up a bit for connecting. But over all, good sound.

Q: QuestionThere's a $99 Blue Yeti and a $129 blue yeti. What is the difference? I do radio interviews using my Mac, which has an old OS, Yosemite.
Asked by Richard.
- A:Answer Hello Richard, the $99 model is the Yeti Nano, while the $129 model is the original Yeti. There are a few differences between the two models. The biggest difference is that the Yeti is a 3 capsule design that can go between 4 different polar patterns: Cardioid (in front of the mic), Bi-Directional (front and back), Omnidirectional (all around), Stereo (Left/Right). The Yeti Nano has 2 capsules and can switch between Cardioid and Omnidirectional polar patterns. For interviews, you would use the Omnidirectional pattern on the Nano and Omnidirectional or Bi-Directional patterns on the Yeti.

Q: QuestionIs there a way for me to use this to record my voice and minimize those of my loud keyboard?
Asked by jeff.
- A:Answer There are two things that could help. First is making sure your microphone is on the cardiod mode. While this mode is enabled, make sure to position your microphone with the volume knob facing your mouth. Your voice will sound the clearest this way BUT also ignoring any sounds directly behind your microphone. So the best position for the microphone will be in-between you and your keyboard. Secondly, buying a microphone arm holder will be great to minimize noise. What this allows you to do is position your microphone very close to your mouth, 1-5 inches away. This will let you turn down your microphone’s sensitivity (otherwise known as gain) which will pickup less noise around the blue yeti nano, such as your keyboard. I hope this helps.
