CHEFMAN - 6-Quart Slow Cooker - Silver

My husband bought this crockpot for me because it is so versatile. I can brown meat in it right on the stovetop and no extra pans for cleanup before heading out the door to work. The crockpot can also be put in the oven at the end if you want to brown cheese topping on a casserole. And the best part is it has one of the best non-stick surfaces I have ever used. Clean up is a breeze. I liked it so much that I searched to find one just like it to get my new daughter-in-law.

The smell coming from the kitchen when I get home from work is wonderful! I really like the fact you can brown the meat on the cook top, then add all the veggies and stock and slow cook the rest. The stainless is really nice. This is the kind of thing you could leave on the counter. 6 qt is a perfect size. I'm glad I didn't go with something smaller. So far I've used it 3 times. Twice to make beef stew and once to make chicken soup. The stew came out great! I'm making all kinds of slow cooking gains. All kinds.

You use the insert to sear your meat before you start cooking. The insert can also be placed in the oven. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't have a timer (which is minimal). But overall the best slow cooker I ever had.

I love this slow cooker!! It's versatile and easy to use. Being able to brown your meat first in the same pan you are going to slow cook in is a big plus. I also love that it is "back to basics" easy to use! I'm tired of all these fancy cookers out today. You have to read a novel to use them and then they break - who needs it.

This slow cooker really warms up and gets foods HOT fast. The size is ideal oval and fits a bunch of potatoes and meat. During the winter I think I used this every Sunday for a family meal. Truly is the best one i've owned / used to date.

I really like the fact that I can cook with it on top of the stove and in the oven as well as it being a crockpot. I didn't notice any hotspots and it washes up well. I'm really glad I bought this product.

I purchased this slow cooker for my wife. She is (or would like to be) a collector of crock pots. She really likes some of the unique features of this one especially the ability to use it on the stove top.

It does the job as a slow cooker. Have always used ones with stone crocks (and bought this after breaking the last crock bumping the sink), but I like the lighter weight on the Chefman. Will see how it fares over years of use.
