Excellent weight-to-payload ratio
Weighing only 1.3 kg/2.8 lbs (including gimbal, battery grip, and quick-release plates), RS 3 can be held easily in one hand, while its 3kg/6.6lb load capacity is more than enough to support mainstream cameras
Automated axis locks
When the gimbal is off, press and hold the power button to unlock the axes while the gimbal expands automatically. Press the power button once, and the axes automatically lock and enter sleep mode. Press and hold the power button and it will fold and lock automatically.
Wireless shutter control
By implementing Dual Mode Bluetooth, RS 3 supports wireless shutter control. After the initial Bluetooth pairing, you can control video and photo shooting by simply pressing the record button on the stabilizer. Previously paired cameras can automatically reconnect.
3rd-Gen RS Stabilization Algorithm
Empowered by a next-gen stabilization algorithm, RS 3 provides significantly enhanced stability in any scenario. Laboratory sampling data shows RS 3 provides a 20% increase in stability over RSC 2.
Beyond smooth
When SuperSmooth mode is enabled, RS 3 increases motor torque to further enhance stabilization, delivering stable footage even in fast-moving scenarios or with 100mm-equivalent focal lenses.
Instant mode switching
By simply sliding the new gimbal mode switch, you can alternate between Pan follow, Pan and Tilt follow, and FPV modes. The FPV mode selection is also customizable to 3D Roll 360, Portrait, or Custom.
Monitoring via smartphone
RS 3 supports the Ronin Image Transmitter (previously known as the Ronin RavenEye Image Transmitter) to transmit 1080p/30fps HD live feeds directly to a mobile device.
12-hour operating time + fast charging
The new battery grip provides an extended runtime of up to 12 hours, enough to handle continuous shooting throughout the day. It supports 18W PD fast charging with a charge time of just 2.5 hours.
All-new focus motor
The next-gen DJI RS Focus Motor (2022) provides torque three times stronger (up to 1 N·m) and noise is reduced by 50%. This delivers a smoother focusing experience and reduces the effect on audio recording.

- A: AnswerHi! This gimbal will absolutely work with your Canon r8, the only thing you will have to look out for is the amount of weight your lenses are adding on. If your weight exceeds the limit, your gimbal will be at risk for motor exhaustion and short battery life! I will recommend the gimbal itself without the combo, I hardly ever use the accessories it comes with because it’s not necessary for my shots. I hope this was helpful!
