Great attachment
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We use this attachment for grinding our meats to make sausages with another special attachment not included. This makes life so much easier. The other attachment to slice veggies is something we both use most often. Make sure that your stand mixer from kitchen aid has enough power to grind the meat. The one we had before wasn’t powerful enough to grind as fast as we like. But no problems with others.

Works exactly as expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to use in conjunction with the seed strainer and processor. Very happy, made about 20 gallons of home made tomato sauce this year. Have used it to grind some meat for sausages too. It performed exactly as I expected and was certainly up to the job. I had to run the tomatoes through a couple times to get them dry like my grandmother's used to do.

Great Addition to your KitchenAid
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Some reviews state the meat grinder attachment is cheaply made and not worth the money, but the attachment ha yet to fail me, and I have used it quite frequently. All parts are sturdy and easy to clean/use. Great purchase and do recommend.

Great attachment!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am in love with this attachment by KitchenAid! I have the stand mixer but I had not yet bought any of the attachments. KitchenAid is one of my favorite brands because of it high quality. The attachment worked exactly the way a meat grinder would. It's a wonderful addition to my collection.

Best ground beef ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ran out of ground beef but had a lot of steaks left out of the last steer I sent to the butcher. I have been making ground beef with this for a few weeks now and I am very happy. I will buy another one if this one ever breaks.

Q: QuestionCould you help me find a new blade for my grinder?I would like to replace the blade on my grinder since mine is about 30 years old and I imagine your new one would be a lot sharper - I don't need the entire grinder, just the 4-pronged blade which should fit all your grinders.
Asked by bearmotter.
- A:Answer These questions mainly go to other users, not Best Buy or OEM. I can tell you that these can be sharpened at a knife/scissor sharpening store. Since this may be rare in your area (depending upon where you live), you may also find a farmer or metalworker that is used to working with tempered knives. They may be able to add life to your blade. Other than doing that, you might have to purchase the whole unit. I know the plastic gets brittle as it ages (mine cracked), so it may not be a bad idea to change the housing as well.

Q: QuestionHow many slicing cones? I see some have 4 cones. 2 slice and 2 shread.
Asked by Marina.
- A:Answer Hi Marina, this one is actually a stand-alone meat grinder and does not slice. There are 2 size blades it comes with for coarse or granular grinding. Doesn’t do much more than that.

Q: QuestionCan this grinder handle processing deer meat?
Asked by 5Nana.
- A:Answer The short answer is yes. the longer answer is, if you process a lot of deer you may be better off getting a stand alone grinder. But if you already own a kithenaid its a very affordable way to girnd your own meat.
