  • Features
    • Hard Food Disposer: true (This feature has blades to chop and disintegrate hard food particles, making them small enough to easily drain away. This prevents them from being recirculated back onto dishware and allows for easy maintenance.)
    • Drying Method: Heated drying (Appliances that use heat to dry the dishes will include a heating element or minerals which transform moisture into heat. A fan or vent then circulates the hot dry air throughout the tub during the drying cycle. This may reduce drying time and the risk of water spots. Appliances that use minerals to produce heat are considered more energy efficient than those that include a heating element. Appliances that use condensation drying are considered more energy efficient than those that use heated drying. Instead, high temperature water is produced during the final rinse cycle which warms the interior and eventually condensates and drains out of the machine.)

A: The operating sound level of the dishwasher is 50 decibels adjusted.

Q: Does this dishwasher have a sensor to detect the soil level?

A: Yes, it has an AutoSense cycle that detects the soil level and amount of dishes, then automatically adjusts wash settings for the ultimate clean.

Q: What is the advantage of the Dry Boost feature in this dishwasher?

A: The Dry Boost feature gets hard-to-dry items like plastics up to 3 times drier compared to heated dry.

Q: Does this GE dishwasher come with a power cord?

A: No, the power cord is not included with the dishwasher.

Q: What is the drying method used in this dishwasher?

A: This dishwasher uses a heated drying method.

Q: How come it doesn’t dry the dishes like it supposed to?

A: Hello- Thanks for reaching out. We are happy to help! Your model has the new Dry Boost feature. It is a new drying option that targets hard-to-dry items like plastics. It significantly improves the drying performance, providing up to 3 times better drying compared to a Heated Dry option. Please be sure you are selecting the Dry Boost on your control panel. For the best drying results you'll also want to be sure you are doing the following: Check to make sure the water coming in to the dishwasher is 120 degrees F or higher. (Turning your hot water on first before turning the dishwasher on will help). Use a rinse agent. A rinse agent will accelerate the drying process. Rinse aids help keep water from forming droplets that will dry into spots on the dishes. Check the level of the rinse agent tank periodically and refill as necessary. Use the Dry Boost Option. Using Dry Boost will turn on the heating element in the dishwasher and this will speed up the drying process although it will increase the overall length of the cycle. If you are doing all of the above, we recommend reaching out to GE Consumer Service at 1-800-432-2737. Thank you! Joyce@GEA

Q: What type of plastic is used to make the tub of this dishwasher?

A: We definitely understand your concern regarding the plastic used on the dishwasher tub, and we are glad to let you know that GE Appliances evaluates the safety of materials and chemicals used in GE brand appliances through our hazardous substances management process. We have voluntarily decided to identify, reduce and eliminate to the extent possible materials of concern from our appliance products and parts, even when not required by regulation. We do not comment specifically on product content, which is confidential, however our processes help ensure that all GE Appliance products meet applicable hazardous substances requirements and our own product safety and environmental standards.

Q: What can be done about the noise? I purchased this dishwasher recently and in stead of it operating at 50db, as advertised, it's closer to 65-70. Much louder than my previous GE.

A: There are noises you can expect to hear from your dishwasher. We do encourage you to head to our GE Appliances website to view the article called "Dishwasher - Normal / Abnormal Noises" to get a better idea of the sounds you will hear. If the sounds from your unit are excessive or listed as abnormal, please schedule service by calling 833-426-3393.

    Dry cycle

Our first one was damaged in transit, but after using our Total Tech membership that we bought at the same time, another one was delivered and installed a month later. This is replacing our 19 year old dishwasher. I love that the top rack has spray arms (our old one didn't). The 3rd shallow rack (pic attached) is nice to put excess items and lids. The only issue I have, so far, is that it doesn't dry even when you use the extra long dry cycle. I have to open it up and let it dry a day before unloading, or I have to hand dry. My old dishwasher let me run just a dry cycle as many times in a row that i wanted. For an hour wash with normal dry, it takes 2 hours and 4 minutes. With the extra dry, it takes 2 hours and 44 minutes. If you use the bottle jet function, its an extra 23 minutes.

    Dishwasher Doable.

Looks & matches with other chosen appliances. Top door control panel not easily accessible. So, installed 1/8 inch sticking outside the cabinet. Not ideal. But, hopefully doable. Have not used yet.
