Even plastic containers dry spotless! Love the extra tray on top, however, I don’t use it for silverware. Just long utensils , and smaller items like custard cups. Wish it had a rapid cycle though.

Water doesn't drain in the bottom so after 2 days of unloading everything, it starts to stink. Loads are long. It's quiet, I'll give that five stars. Hardly any of the times move which is an inconvenience and you can't put anything flat in the top shelf or the water doesn't get down. Why do you need a third shelf for silverware and the silverware rack? I would return this in a heartbeat if I could :( Ugh.

- A:Answer The stainless, generally seems to be. There are chrome-like (pastic) accent trims around the control too and window that will mark with finger prints. GE recommends cleaning with “Bar Keepers Friend”, which does a fantastic job keeping the stainless look brand new.

Q: QuestionWhy does the dishwasher not dry the dishes completely & the entire inside of the dishwasher remain wet? This is a brand new GE Profile.

- A:Answer Hi there! We're sorry to hear you're having some trouble with the dry cycle on your dishwasher. We have some tips that will help. When the dishes have trouble drying, it's usually because the water temperature is too low. The water going into your dishwasher should be at least 120 degrees F. We suggest running the hot water on your faucet for a few minutes prior to running the dishwasher to prime the water line. The use of a rinse aid will encourage a proper dry cycle as well. Make sure you have selected the Dry Boost option and to ensure this drying cycle has time to completely dry your dishes, leave the door closed for an additional 90 minutes after the clean light appears to give the fan time to complete the cycle. Q: QuestionIs there a wash cycle for china? What is best for avoiding the high heating during the dry cycle?

- A:Answer Hi - Thank you for reaching out to us. China is normally safe to wash in your automatic dishwasher. However, antique, metal trimmed, hand painted and over-the-glaze patterned china is vulnerable to fading with high water temperatures and detergent solutions. Therefore, these should not be washed in a dishwasher. Here are a few tips we offer - we recommend using a Light Wash cycle for your fine china and crystal. If there is any question, check with the manufacturer of the china or test wash one piece daily for at least one month for comparison with the rest of the set. Be sure to load the china items securely to prevent movement during the wash cycle. This will help minimize chipping or breaking.
