A: Either/or. Our previous dishwasher was hardwired, so that is what they did with this one.
Q: Can you add a dish to the KDFS324SPS after it has begun washing?
A: Yes, during the "Wash" cycle.
Q: How long in time is the rinse only cycle and do all the jets work on that rinse only cycle?
A: Not sure. Maybe 15-20 minutes.

Love it!!!
We remodeled our small kitchen and decided it was time to add a dishwasher. We love it! I had no idea how much we would appreciate it. It cleans amazingly well, is super quiet and has so much room and flexible space to arrange dishes. The pop out door feature is super cool as the dishes steam/air out after the cycle. I just cleaned the filter for the first time and it took 2 minutes. All the research we did before buying was worth it as could not be happier with the model we selected.

Kitchen Aid dishwasher review
We love it, more capacity than our previous kitchen Aid which lasted 25 years. It is very quiet and very efficient at cleaning.
