Wonderful collection of games
|Posted .Owned for 3 months when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendI'm a big fan of the Kingdom Hearts series, and even though I own most of the component games here, I picked this up on sale during Black Friday. $20 is a steal for it, and it goes on sale fairly often. This bundle is made up of two component games - Kingdom Hearts: The Story So Far, and Kingdom Hearts 3. This is quite literally those two physical games in an outside case. Depending on how you collect games, this may be make or break. I try to get individual copies of each release, so I went ahead. If you're hoping it's something different, not for you. As a compilation of (most) of the Kingdom Hearts games, this has an astonishing amount! This includes access to 10 of the core Kingdom Hearts titles. They are as follows: Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (Movie), Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded (Movie), Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance HD, Kingdom Hearts 0.2 - A Fragmentary Passage, and finally Kingdom Hearts 3. Please be advised this does NOT includes access to the DLC Re:Mind for KH3. All versions included are HD remasters of the Final Mix versions of these games, formerly Japan-exclusive rereleases of the original versions with bugfixes, minor additions, and typically some form of additional content. For earlier titles, this is usually a boss that connects to the next game in the series, and sometimes a new secret ending. KH 358/2 Days and KH Re:Coded are not included as games, but instead as movie compilations of cutscenes from those games, interspersed with text screens to bridge these contextually. Another movie is included, titled Kingdom Hearts [chi]: Back Cover. This movie is an... attempt at explaining some of the plot of one of the mobile games: Kingdom Hearts [chi]. More on that later. I won't review every individual title, as it's not the point of this review, but for the consumer wondering "Will this give me an overview of Kingdom Hearts?" - the answer is mostly. You get HD remastered versions of the definitive releases of (most) Kingdom Hearts games. However, this collection is essentially the older 1.5, 2.5, and 2.8 HD ReMIXs alongside 3. If you own none of these titles, it's probably easier and better to get than tracking down individual copies of the older ones. My biggest beef overall with this collection is that it forfeits near entirely the Kingdom Hearts [chi] and Union Cross titles, which are ESSENTIAL to understanding both KH3 and the rest of the series. Back Cover is a convulted mess that requires you to have the context of those. Honestly, go watch these on YouTube to give yourself the context if you're embarking on a full playthrough of Kingdom Hearts. Otherwise, pretty good bang for your buck.

A two part story covered in 10 games and drama
|Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendThe only real downside to this is the packaging. It's very lazy. It's literally the last collection taped to the newest game. I'm pretty sure an intern designed it on their way out the door. That said, the content is, well, a lot of freaking content. All the games, including the ones previously on assorted handhelds. No, I haven't played them all yet...it's 10 games! I mean, I know we're all locked in with C-19, but you have to sleep and eat. Also, I hear showers are also really important, but that might be a rumor started by the Outside People. Does not include the DLC, which costs more than this collection. Square loves to milk the ol' customer, so this should be no surprise. The DLC is largely a recap of the games, so while you're missing it, you're also not.

Perfect for a Disney and/or Final Fantasy fan
|Posted .Owned for 2 months when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendThis collection is how these games should be played. The story of these games can be so complicated I’m grateful that this collection at least gives a proper order. I can’t imagine being an early KH fan trying to play these games across all the different platforms they were originally released on. Chain of Memories (moderate difficulty) can be painful but if I can make it through, so can you! 358/2 is a long movie but is totally worth it as you go through KH2. If you want an emotional (and slightly less confusing) journey I would reccomend playing all the games in order they present. The journey these games have sent me on will be something I remember for the rest of my life. Thanks Tetsuya Nomura and Square for making this collection and such a beautiful story.

Don't Think Twice.
|Posted .Owned for 4 months when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendIf you're looking for an entry point to the Kingdom Hearts series or looking to get back into it, then this is all you will need. This is the type of franchise where you know whether you love it or leave it, but the value proposition with this collection is admittedly absurd. Included is The Story So Far and Kingdom Hearts 3 in their own separate cases tied together with the All-In-One sleeve, and with it you're getting the entire saga in a one-stop shop (barring the Re:Mind DLC for Kingdom Hearts 3 and Melody of Memories, a title released after the fact). And considering the refinements the ports of individual games have been receiving over the years, this is arguably the definitive way to get into or get back into the franchise barring the recent (yet much more pricey) PC versions of the games.

fun game
|Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendSome have complained that this is just a re-bundled box set of "The Story So Far" and "Kingdom Hearts 3". While this is true, what's wrong with that? Last year the same bundle would have cost $99 (a friend of mine purchased this digital version on the PSN store for that price) or more. Now it is being sold for $49. It's also very difficult to find "The Story So Far", so the fact they are re-releasing it for those of us who are late to the bandwagon is great.
Q: QuestionWill I be able to play this on PS5?
Asked by Zach.
- A:Answer Yes. Almost all PS4 games are playable on the PS5. There are maybe 6 games that are said to not work, and they are all small, obscure games that weren't very successful. And even some the developers of those games are working to make them work. So yes, these games are playable on PS5
