Queen sang too many songs that never became famous, and wore weird costumes. Good picture, but not great picture. Sounded good, though.

I was lucky enough to see this tour.It was late 1974 or early 1975 at tower theatre Upper Darby Pa.It's Queen young and lean without the ballads and broadway type showtunes. That they seemed to do a lot it their later years.Queen broke big in the years after this tour.Great concert from decades ago.It is as good as I remembered it.Great musicians and lead singer who will can never be replaced in Queen.Sorry Paul Rogers and Adam Lambert.

I've been a Queen fan for a very long time so I wasn't sure what to expect from a concert recorded in 1974 but WOW the quality was very good and the sound was excellent. If you're looking for the greatest this isn't it but if you want to hear how Queen started to become the greatest band in the world, then you are in for a treat. Freddie's was in full voice and sounds awesome. The rest of the band also killed it. All in all, i highly recommend this video for any Queen fans

This double Blu-Ray disc is just fabulous. Such great songs from Queen. It's really a shame that Freddie Mercury died at such a young age. Their music was great & I'm just sorry I never got to see them live in concert.

I remember seeing the 1974 tour in Cleveland, and thinking "I'll never see a concert this good again". Wow, for Queen to release the London show from November 1974 will excite any Queen fans from the early era. This show is before Bohemian Rhapsody and We Will Rock You material. It covers the first 3 Queen records. A lot of us, feel this was their best material. I feel this is their best performance. The guitar and drumming solos are terrific. Freddie's stage performance is Classic Freddie Mercury. No one did it better than FM. Queen fans, go get this concert. Plus there are 4 bonus songs from the March 1974 concert, too. One more thing, the blu-ray package includes the audio CD of the show, if you get the 2 disc version.

This blu-ray version of Live at the Rainbow does not bring any more visual acuity to the table. So if you are looking for razor-sharp, crystal-clear visuals, you will be disappointed. Credit the low-res video recording of the time. You can consider this a blu-ray rip of the standard def DVD. Overall, the video quality is certainly good for the era and the production is without serious flaws. However, blu-ray does offer superior audio resolution with much higher sampling rates, so this is where you might find satisfaction. Just have the equipment to bring out the higher audio resolution.
