MotorStorm Pacific Rift - PlayStation 3

The first "Motor Storm" game was fun and had a lot of interesting features. Such as the capability to utilize high powered boosters on all the vehicles you race. Then the momentum of fun was halted by not allowing capability of multiplayer split screen game play. Why would any game presently being created in this day in age not allow a multiplayer option. Not only online, but split screen, especially a racing game? You could only play multiplayer online, and it was only made for playing one player per system at a time. "Motor Storm Pacific Rift," resolved all those issues for me and my friends. It is the perfect game for a room of 4 people (male/female) all racing head to head on one system, or racing online together (provided you have a reliable internet connection.) Packed with amazing Hi-Res graphics; realistic all type terrain and water landscaped courses. Including dirt/mud, desert, tropical beach, rain forest, and courses through snow. With detailed cars and rally cars, motorcycles or atvs, trucks or monster trucks and even 18 wheeler semi trucks. All traveling at speeds so high, and crashes so intense it's jaw dropping! Courses so intricate and realistic you can explore your own directional paths on or off the course's roads for hours and hours. It's one of the best rally cross racing games I've had fun playing in the last 10 years.

It's incredibly fun and not to difficult until you get around the very end. Theres over 50 races, all of which are different types from check point races, to eliminator, wreck limit, timed, to just your average, try to finish from 3rd-1st. The graphics are absolutely amazing, which makes the wrecks look even cooler! You unlock a new pack of vehicles every time you reach a milestone of races completed, which you can customize. Now, you cant make custom paint jobs and features on your vehicles, but you can pic your pain job and the model of that certain vehicle you want to drive. There is all sorts of different vehicles ranging from motorcycles to monster trucks. Overall, it's a great game that is highly recommended.

This game is easy to play/learn but still extremely challenging. It's certainly an approvement over it's predecessor in that it now has split screen multiplayer, monster trucks, and better tracks. I don't think I'd ever pay the original asking price of $60, but it's a good pick-up for $40 or less. The only real draw-back is the sound track. There's far too many techno/rave style songs. You can easily disable the tunes you don't like though from playing, which is a plus.

First off if you like a game with speed this is a good one for you becuse you can get going PRETTY fast.The graphics are prett y cool too .Its easy for you to pick a track and get you set up and going.I have a great time playing each time i put in the game.There are lots of obstacles that if you crash into them it will set you back pretty far.And it is pricey.I would definetly recomend this to a friend though.

Ill start off with the soundtrack, I particularly like drum and bass and this games soundtracks are all drum and bass and they don't repeat too often. The SFX are decent but pretty generic. The graphics are rediculoso. Lots and lots of different types of races. 4 different worlds Air Gap, Water World, Fire World, and Earth world with each world having at least 15 races in it. Not sure how many different cars there are but at least 15 as well. Bottom Line: MSPR is a great pick up and play game which offers fun for multiple players including online play or split screen. But as with most racing games they can get boring.

This game is really fun. the game looks unbelievable and the gameplay and controls are tight. all the tracks have multiple paths and you will need to learn all of them to compete later on in the game and especially online. Online is by far the best part of the game.

its a great game trust me but its not the longest game on the market.great graphics,cool cars and awesome race tracks.worth the 50 bones it good dont listen to the other people giving it one star

Best of the Motorstorm games. Excellent graphics. As other PS3 games, I complain that only one player can play when NOT online. If we have 4 controllers, then those four should control four different cars. Oh well, we'll see if sony changes that in the future. Otherwise I would recommend the game. Still, the best racing game for PS3 to me has been Burnout Paradise. You can use the logitech wheel with this game.
