Ratings & Reviews
For a precise fit.
Magnify distant subjects and isolate a small field of view for vivid close-up shots.
Ideal for wildlife photography, sporting events and any photo shoot that prevents you from getting close to your subject.
Creates sharp, detailed images with shallow depth of field and softly blurred background. Performs best in moderate-to-bright light settings or outdoors on overcast days.
VR II (vibration reduction) image stabilization compensates for camera shake to minimize blurring and ghosting. The nano crystal coat reduces ghosting and flare for even more accurate shots.
The SWM (silent wave motor) allows smooth, quiet autofocusing.
The SIC (super integrated coating) minimizes flare and provides faithful color reproduction, while 3 ED (extra-low dispersion) elements limit chromatic aberration at wide apertures.
Provides a natural out-of-focus effect to help you get creative with your shots.
The magnesium die-cast barrel construction and protective meniscus front lens resist dust and moisture for a durable design.
52mm NC filter and filter holder included.
Comes with a slip-on front lens cover, rear lens cap, 52mm filter holder, 52mm Nikon NC filter, strap (LN-1), slip-on lens hood (HK-30) and semi-soft case (CL-L1).

Fantastic Pro level lens!November 12, 2017
I sort of knew what to expect from this lens. Big, heavy, yet very fast and sharp. My main use for this lens will be shooting drag racing however, since I just got it I used it to shoot an opera. I mounted it on a Nikon D4s and shot hand held wide open at F2.8. It produced excellent images as expected. I think the pros and cons are well known. Pros: ultra fast and sharp lens. Cons: heavy and expensive.
I would recommend this to a friend
