Panasonic - Hands-Free Headset

When I started researching for solutions to the radiation issue associated with cellular phones, I have discovered that Bluetooth actually amplifies the radiation, so my mission to find the perfect solution led me to the Panasonic Hands-Free Headset (KX-TCA93). This unit works out of the box without the need to charge a battery or worry about signal drops. But the best part is that everyone I spoke to on the very first call didn't realize I was speaking on a headset! I got compliments with everyone -- it was a 100% success and the best part, I feel more confident speaking with this headset than holding a phone (I keep the phone in my pocket and never have to worry about dropping it (been there, done that)). This unit has the 2.5mm plug, which is the perfect solution for my cell phone (LG EnV2). The cable has a clip to secure to my clothing with a volume wheel and a mute button (press & hold). The ear-clip can swivel to fit over either the left or right ear. The foam padding sits against the ear and nothing enters the ear canal. The tight fit did take some time to get used to and believe it or not, but there were times when I didn't even realize that I was wearing it -- the comfort level is also very good. Since there is no headband, this unit is very portable. I may purchase a second one as a backup (that's how good this unit really is). But the best part when compared to Bluetooth headphones is the price! With a 100% success rate, I shall highly recommend this product.

Headset work great. Volume and sound are good. Only drawback is removing and putting back on the ear, especially if you have an earring at the top of ear.

this is a nice light weight hands free option, however, there is not a lot of pliability to reshape the earpiece to a more comfortable position around your ear.

I work from a home office and as looking for an inexpensive hands free headset to use with my office phone for situations where speakerphone or handset use is not convenient. This does the trick at a great price. I have not had anyone complain about the audio coming from the microphone when I speak. I occasionally get a little static in the earpiece, but it's acceptable. I wish the cord was a little longer. But even with those few drawbacks, it's a good buy for its price.

I've used the PLANTRONICS single ear / inexpensive wired earpiece in my home walk around phones for years. The wire bent 'off' with use, and when I bought another, bending the ear-hook broke it. Cheap plastic. I got the PANASONIC model and it's better, but the flat very circular ear-hook is uncomfortable to put on. The Ear-hook pieces on both cheapie units need improvement. That said, the PANASONIC thing works OK, and I need it to free my hands for notes / typing / etc. .

This certainly works, but difficult to fit on ear and feels flimsy. Other over ear mics fit better.

This headphone was free with the purchase of the phone that I bought. It isn't very comfortable on my ear and isn't very convenient to keep plugged into the handset of the phone, so I haven't been using it. A wireless headset would be more useful.

The sound is great, especially with the volume control. Only issue is to make sure that the mike is near your mouth. The angle the unit hangs on your ear can place the mike too far away.
