Wet/Dry Beard and Hair Trimmer

I am forever looking for the best possible option for keeping my facial hair trimmed and well-kept. I like portable options like this one from Panasonic. One of the reasons I like this trimmer so much is because you can use it as a wet or dry trimmer. It’s very lightweight and rechargeable, which are big perks in my opinion. The trimmer comes boxed with a wall charger, a small bottle of oil, and a cleaning brush. The wall charger is a good thought because you don’t have a cord to deal with. The design does have a few issues with it though. First of all it takes up more than one outlet and secondly, it’s a little bit of an odd gripping option when go to grab it from the charger if it’s plugged in. Other than that, the trimmer has an easy to use settings dial and power switch. It’s very quiet when powered on. It only emits a small hum. The trimmer provides a nice even cut no matter what hair you are cutting. I do wish that the charger was designed just a bit differently.

About 4 years ago I purchased the Panasonic ER-GB40 trimmer and was very impressed with it, considering how little I paid for it. With this trimmer, Panasonic has managed to improve the small imperfections of the older model, while keeping the ER-GB370 affordable. Design Even though I am very satisfied with my older trimmer, there were a few design flaws I thought could be improved upon. I thought the older model handle was a little thin to hold, the plastic trimmer height was sometimes not easy to remove, and the trimmer teeth were a little too small to get a good cut without hairs being pulled. Panasonic must’ve listened to their customers, because the ER-GB370 corrected those issues by widening the grip, redesigning the plastic trimmer guard, and spacing out the trimmer teeth, while making them larger to accommodate thicker beards. I was, however, disappointed with the charger for this model. Both models can use the charging base to store the trimmer upright, but I prefer the older base more. It is nice to not have a cord to deal with on the newer model, but this omission requires the outlet to be in the upright direction (see photo). I was able to charge the unit sideways, but noticed the stress it was placing on the outlet. Functionality Panasonic was able to speed the charging from 20 hours (older model) to 15 hours (this model). I never once had a problem with running out of battery, so I cannot compare the battery life since both are great. I love being able to adjust the height of the cut just by a few simple turns on the dial. The trimmer did not pull any hairs and quickly gave my beard a professional-looking trim. I normally trim my beard at the sink, but I want to mention that it can be used in the shower too. Conclusion I recommend purchasing this trimmer if you want to affordably keep your beard nicely trimmed. It does exactly what it is designed to do, and it does it well.

This precision trimmer feels well built, its simple nothing special just like a grooming tool should be. The quick adjust dial is very convenient because it eliminates the hassle of changing comb attachments. It goes from 1 mm to 10 mm for those who want to do detailing. It also has the option to remove the comb attachment if you want to just trim freestyle. The packaging looks great. It makes the trimmer look more expensive then the price tag suggest. It doesn't come with a cord but you can connect it directly to the power adapter. I hanged the trimmer upside down on a wall outlet when charging, it didn't even fall, left it all night charging. I like this trimmer because its simple and has a lot of trimming sizes. It's not too expensive and it looks well built. This trimmer would be a good one to have for any grooming kit or for travel. It doesn't take up a lot space and its water proof!!

I really like this trimmer. It is very quiet with sharp blades and it requires less passes than your average trimmer. Wet operation allows for easy rinsing after use. It is not too expensive and it is well made for the price. It is compact and does not take much space for travel. Charging stand provides convenient storage and features with charge status indicator, which glows red while charging. It provides up to 30 minutes of cordless operation. It is easy to clean under running water. Wall mounted charger is a terrible design. It is too bulky to mount above a 3-outlet adapter. Outlet space is a premium in most bathrooms, I am not sure why panasonic thought this was a good idea. There is no tray to catch any of the hair.

I've used this trimmer a couple of times and am pleased with it's performance. Pros: -Blades are sharp and cut well. Replacement blades can be purchased in the future as needed. -Battery power seems good, and I should only need to charge it once every couple weeks. -Can easily be cleaned by running it under water. -Trim length can easily be adjusted. Cons: -It would be nice to have some kind of case for travel purposes. -It cannot be used while charging, so plan ahead! Overall this is a very good rechargeable trimmer that I would recommend to anyone with grooming needs.

Was anxious to receive this complimentary Panasonic Wet/Dry Beard and Hair Trimmer to see how it performed trimming the hair on the back of my neck, especially, and, my sideburns to include the area around my ears. Have had several cordless hair cutting systems, which claimed to trim eyebrows, nose hair, sideburns, mustache, beard, nape of the neck, around ears, and even goatees. To their collective credit they were great trimming nose hair, eyebrows, and as a 'mini-shaver'. But when it came to my sideburns, and, especially the hair on the back of my neck, and around my ears they all failed.. As a Retiree I spend six to ten hours a day outside most days of the week, all year around. Fortunately for me the mild climate here, in North Florida, has allowed me to be 'active' with my Grand Children, Gardening, and the general upkeep of six acres of heavily treed land. Since I have worked outside for over fifty years there are several areas from my neck up that I have found need special attention concerning hair trimming. The back of my neck has always been an 'issue'. The combination of heat, perspiration and growing hair on the back of my neck has caused me to break out numerous times. My barber has recommended to keep that area trimmed of hair as much as I could 'till the next haircut. The multi-purpose cordless trimmers did trim that area but because they could only trim in a 'dry-environment', they irritated the back of my neck and the situation went from bad to worse. So, my ever-gracious barber offered to trim the hair on the back of my neck once a week for free if he had the time, and, it was convenient for me, but according to his schedule. Very generous offer, but not practical. When I received the Panasonic Wet/Dry Beard and Hair Trimmer the very first thing I did after charging it up was to take into the shower and shave the hair off the back of my neck while it was wet. No razor burn from 'dry-shaving' and it was quick, wet, and painless. WooHoo! Having water on the back of my neck while trimming made an unbelievable difference. My old cordless trimmers averaged about three-quarters of an inch in width – the Panasonic Wet/Dry Trimmer is approximately one and three quarters inches wide with an abundance of settings to satisfy all men's hair trimming requirements. Both features conveniently make it possible to spend less time involved on trimming and grooming, and the results are great. Maintenance is simple and routine. The important thing is to oil the trimmer at the designated areas before and after trimming. Since it is a wet/dry trimmer, water will 'dry-up' any lubrication necessary fir optimum performance. Use the furnished bottle of oil as recommended. After two week of trimming with this Panasonic I have learned how to be more efficient with trimming using the appropriate settings on the trimmer ( 1-10mm). Easy 'Learning-Curve'. The trimmer itself is ruggedly built, light-weight enough to handle easily, and is designed for a 'man's hand'. I am impressed with the hair-trimming efficiency regarding the cutting width of this unit over the much smaller cordless units I have used in the past. Once you get used to the wider width trimming is not only simple, but fast. After using this trimmer for two weeks I am impressed what it can do for what it was designed for. It is not going to trim your nose hair, hair in your ears, or, eyebrows. But it can keep your next haircut looking sharper a lot longer and give you that well-groomed look the ladies like so much. This trimmer is also so uncomplicated to clean and lubricate. After a full-charge, approximately fifteen hours, it will last approximately a full thirty minutes of trimming time. Now, that sounds like something is wrong, however, the trimmer motor is very powerful, the trimmer is extra wide, blades sharp and efficient. After two weeks I am still working on the initial charge, and I have used this trimmer three-times a week. It does not take long to what you have to trim. However, I do not have a full-beard, nor a mustache, or a goatee. Obviously these would require extra trim-time. Please keep in mind that this Panasonic Wet/Dry Beard and Hair Trimmer was NOT designed to trim nose hair, hair inside of your ears, nor eyebrows. I personally recommend this Panasonic Wet/Dry Beard and Hair Trimmer for trimming hair on the back of your neck, especially, around your ears, sideburns, and for beards, mustaches, and goatees. This would make a great 'Fathers' Day' Gift, Graduation, Birthday, Christmas, or, any other occasion you can think of.

The Panasonic beard and hair trimmer is practically designed and cuts very well. Some of the best features include the comb attachment and the adjustable blade length (height adjustment control), which makes trimming beards foolproof (no more bald spots by an oops moment). With the comb off, the trimmer can be used for finer cuts and detailing (works great on eyebrow hairs). The charging unit which plugs directly into the wall, and acts as a stand when not charging, is brilliant - eliminating unruly and unsightly cords in the bathroom!

The box it comes in sets it off initially, but taking it out of the package says it all. Panasonic has gone above and beyond with this thing. It's very easy to clean and use in or out of the shower when trying to get a quick trim. The on the fly dial in for changes hair cut height is easy using the dial. The battery seems to last for a while, let alone the size of the charger makes it easy for travel and lose by attaching it to the razor as it clicks into place.
