it improved a lot since last 09 version

A step in the right direction
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I must say thank you Konami for the effort in PES 2010. This is an improvement bringing the game to a more closer simulation of the real game. I like how the ball bounces off the players foot and chest if you do not have your player control the ball properly. Also I like that the goalies are making better saves. In addition the AI is much smarter than before with nice movements, passing, and creativity. The thing that makes Konami's PES 2010 fun as well as other previous iterations are that you have more controllability with your players than with FIFA. FIFA 09 and 10 rely too much on passing only. Soccer is a game of both player creativity and passing. Not only passing the ball. This is where without a doubt Konami can't be beaten. The ability to make your player do creative moves I find enjoyable. I try to do the moves I do in PES with FIFA and I cannot. In FiFA all it is just passing the ball around. You may get away in FIFA with a quick turn here and then sometimes but to have your player hold the ball and move around defensive players is I would say non existent. PES for sure you have a better chance of having this done. As for online and lagging. I did not experience this in both PES 2009 or 2010 at all with my proper cable connection. Most of the lagging as to do with your internet speed. How I know this it happen to me breifly. I move and I always have cable high speed connection. TWC Turbo Road Runner. When I move I had regular cable high speed and then I notice the game seem to go slower and my online competition was out pacing me on the pitch. I was losing to lower rank players and struggling to beat or draw with them. Once I got my cable internet connection corrected to the Turbo setting. I blew the lower rank players away and gave the much higher rank players a hard time. It is safe to say connection strength as a lot to do with the lagging in both PES 2009 and 2010. I don't think it is so much with the game itself. The game as heavy graphics which requires a good HDTV (1080p preferably) and good internet connection to play the game nicely online. If you do not have this do not blame the game in my opinion. This is what the technology requires. You guys ask for simulation and Konami is giving you that. Anybody who does not understand soccer and appreciate it. Cannot appreciate PES 2010. It is without a doubt a good effort by Konami to bring us closer to the real game that we all love and appreciate. Thank you Konami. Please continue to develop your PES games in this direction. Konami you are on the right path.
