Find your "User Guide" booklet that should have come with the microwave. Lots of details are explained on pages 8 and 9. Power levels are also explained. The booklet contains all of this information. If I read it all ( I need to read the power levels, myself, I'll come back and alter my reply later), but look for the "User Guide." : for :Microwave Oven, , Insignia, .7 Cubic feet, NS-7CM6-WH/NS-7CM6-SS/ ( for white) and NS-77CM6-BK ( for black). For Customer Service at "Insignia" phone : 1-877-467-4289. or www..Insigniaproducts.com. The "User Guide" will be needed to set the power levels and a couple of other special features, like your question, and to read the warranty and the info. I have stated here. I would put some water in a coffee cup and practice the procedures. It is basically a wonderful oven and works in a traditional manner.
