Hi Amy.  Thanks for reaching out about this.  I'm sorry to hear about your the galaxy buds! 
 Unfortunately, the Geek Squad Protection does not cover loss and theft replacement.  I'd still recommend talking to your local Best Buy just to be sure they can't do anything however.  I hope this helps.  You can find information about your local store at www.bestbuy.com/storelocator.

That is a question that Best Buy would have to answer. I would have to say no. The replacement plan covers damage to product.

Also wanted to add, your phone would tell you if you are connected.
Also, if you download the Samsung Wearable app, it has a location option that will make the earbud squelch. If it's reasonably quite, you can hear the squelch that the earbud produces.
