• Roku needs internet. And you have more options like opening a vudu account for free and purchasing movies or renting from the comfort of home plus you have access to all your channels without the added expense of a cable box

• Cable is expensive Roku is basically free, there are lots of free stations and you can choose what you want to pay for like Netflix, Amazon, lifetime etc.

• ROKU is streaming video and cable is cable. Each their own different content.

• Streaming options on Roku allow you to access many free options as well as antenna TV. Cable charges for everything. Roku does have options you can purchase as well.
