I got just what i was looking for but bad picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a TV for my kitchen and den. It had to be a 32" to fit the window and I was looking for something cheap since it won't be used often. It's meant to be utilitarian for cooking/cleaning and when we have guests and actually using our den. My wife had placed a small TV on the sill and I hated it as I thought it looked trashy from the den side. But since there is no other good place for a TV in our kitchen I got to thinking and had the idea of mounting it so that it could be used in our den too since we didn't have a TV in there. So I had the idea of using an articulating arm mount, as shown. I measured the window and determined a 32" would be ideal. Then I got to shopping. Given that we are "cord cutters" I loved that this TV had Too I built in. I hate our smart Vizio and every other smart device I ever operated. But I love Roku so settled on this one. Watched it for a while and when it went down to $140 I pulled the trigger. The pros are obviously the low cost and Tom I built in so we have fewer wires. The cons are that the picture is bad and the remote doesn't have numbers on it. In watching the World Series and the picture is so bad that batters faces look very cartoonish. I haven't watched anything else so I would have to defer to my wife. The remote is just a glorified Tom I remote with volume buttons on the side. So when in antenna or (cable) mode there is no way to change the channel without scroll g through them manually. It was very frustrating going from 49 to 8. We live in the New Orleans market so there are still quite a few channels even with just an antenna. Obviously, if you have a cable box, this won't be an issue. In conclusion, I got just want I wanted. A cheap 32" TV with built in Roku, but the picture is bad and the longevity is yet to be determined. With that said, I hardly ever write reviews and just took this opportunity to show off my ingenuity and handiwork!

Roku availabilty
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What I love about the TV is the Roku. I mounted the tv in the breakfast nook and I don't have to put an extra line and cable box to watch my local channels, ESPN, HGTV, etc...I recommended it to my sister and she bought one at Bestbuy too.

Easing into the streaming generation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I come from the first TV generation and am still stuck on watching "what's on," but my CRT with built in VCR (yes, indeed) was breaking down. I couldn't actually use a great big TV, and the salesman didn't try to upsell me. I was a little nervous that I didn't get to see the TV on in the store, but the price and the ability to have the old set taken away drew me right in. I'm still mostly watching cable, but my offspring promise to widen my horizons soon. And the picture is amazing, at least to these old eyes.

A+ in value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.picture looks good, sound is good. this is a tv for my sons(14) bedroom but i would easily put this in my room. I bought it because of the Roku and streaming capabilities. The Roku works great, you need a cc and smartphone to set up but who doesn't have those things nowadays. We downloaded the timewarner app so NO MORE CABLE BOX! he gets the guide, all the channels and even on demand. He's already logged in Netflix and Pandora. For the price though definitely worth its weight in gold. Don't go bigger, don't over review (like I normally do), just save money and enjoy!

Great picture, easy set up.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Smart aspect of the Roku is really easy to set up with WiFi. The Roku remote can not be eliminated by your cable providers universal remote. So you'll need 2 remotes. And the sound quality is not that good because of rear facing speakers. But I added a sound bar. Sounds great now. I would recommend this product. But consider a sound bar.

Perfect TV for RV!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV to put in my 30' Travel Trailer. I had to modify the existing 20" TV opening to attach a wall mount for this TV, but it was all worth it. I can stream all my TV channels from home through SlingPlayer. That alone is the reason I bought the TV. Love it!

Absolutely Worth It!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good quality and image. It is easy to start working and occupies very little space. My daughter loves the remote which has only a few buttons and one direct to Netflix!! I would recommend its purchase.

Q: Questiondo you need to buy an extra subscription for Roku?
Asked by Sara.
- A:Answer No and Yes. To access the Roku application itself you do not need an additional subscription, but you will only have access to the free content/channels. The most used applications like netflix, sling, hulu, and amazon video, require individual subscriptions through each of those entities. There are also some channels like ESPN and HBO Go that permit access through your cable provider (meaning If you can watch those general channels on other tvs, you will be able to access those channels through the roku). I hope that helps, but if it doesn't check out https://www.roku.com/how-it-works .

Q: QuestionWill this Roku TV work as a regular tv? Such as watching our regular TV channels "without" drawing down on the home wi-fi if we choose? Or is it an Internet only kind of thing that will always operate off the Wi-Fi when it is turned on?
Asked by Bee.
- A:Answer The RokuTV works as a "wi-fi" tv as well as antenna based tv. When viewing Roku it will draw from the Wifi, but when watching local channels it should not

Q: QuestionTo use the Roku does the TV need to be streaming from a computer/ smart phone or can you just use the wifi to connect to the internet and go without a 2nd device?
Asked by freed.
- A:Answer You just need wifi. No 2nd device needed. You can use your tablet or smartphone as a remote for this tv which makes entering information a lot easier.

Q: QuestionI bought this TV on a Friday afternoon. By Monday morning it stopped connecting to my wifi. Is the not connecting an issue with these Insignia TV's?
Asked by Jpinpoint.
- A:Answer I purchased this tv for the bedroom. When I hooked it up I could not get any signal for wifi. Then I realized that my router was not strong enough to get a signal to the bedroom on the other end of the house. I bought a new stronger router and now it works great.

Q: QuestionDoes this tv come with a remote? The picture shows a remote that looks like it just is used for the Roku. It doesn't have numbers...how do you change channels without having to go through them all? How do u go from channel 5 to 33 w/o scrolling thru all
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The tv does come with a remote designed around Roku. Roku apps and channels switch just like a normal Roku. However, when connecting to an antenna, you will hit left to show a menu of local channels and then you can scroll up and down to choose the channel you like. Its actually pretty neat. I would highly recommend the RCA amplified antenna

Q: QuestionSince the TV is equipped with Roku, can the TV stream Amazon Instant Video?
Asked by Coreyd9999.
- A:Answer Yes, you can stream Amazon Prime. There's an icon on the home screen for selecting that service for streaming. Don't have Prime so haven't tried it, but it's there as an option.

Q: QuestionHow (or does) does this remote control the volume?

- A:Answer The volume buttons are located on the side/edge of the remote. You do not see the volume controls when the remote is facing you, turn the remote on its side to see volume controls.
