I believe you are asking if a Roku subscription comes with the TV. Opening a Roku account is free. Many of the apps you have access to through Roku are free. You would only need to pay a subscription fee for apps that require it such as HBO Now, Hulu, Netflix, etc. If you wish to subscribe to any apps, you can set those up separately or through the Roku account. Some apps, such as HBO Now, offer a free trial period with the purchase of a Roku or new Roku account. I got HBO Now free for 2 months and Showtime free for one month on a trial basis. With those I was able to cancel at any time before the trial ended in order to avoid payment if I didn't wish to continue with paid service and there are no contracts (month to month) if you choose to continue with paid service to those apps.
