do you want to update both the sub and the amp. If So you will want a 10 or 12 inch sub in a sealed box, I have a s series 12 inch alpine sub in a sealed box and its hits very hard, and a mono amp is about $150 from alpine.. If you want crisp clear sound then go alpine
