Good question. No, Ring Security Cams do not require two batteries. Additional batteries can be purchased to avoid any downtime in case your device is in a high-traffic area that may drain your battery faster. However, with the recommended amount of direct sunlight, the device will remain continuously charged under most conditions.

Probably not.  Unless there is a lot of activity in front of your camera.

I do t think so.  I  have one battery on my spotlight camera w solar panel. Battery always reads 100%
