“I still need help with this issue. When I'm watching streaming platforms directly from my TV, I have sound( from the tv speakers) but it cuts off immediately I turn the theatre system on. And the theatre system function IS switched to TV.”

Try going into your TV set up and to the speaker area and change it from tv speakers to surround sound speakers
