• Yes, you can also use your tv sound BUT I notice that if I use the tv sound along with the sound system there is an echo. The sound between the two is off a hair. Its a pretty good system for the price. I just turn the sound on my tv to 0. I did the same on my old system (Sony) even though with the Sony it synced with the tv I still only used the the sound system. I do like that on the remote you can adjust the sound to different programs, i.e., talk tv, theatre, music, etc.
