Beware of FAN NG (Fan No Good)

After a week the system crashed and presented a FAN NG error. I thought the fan was dirty so I looked at the air intake to ensure there was no visible dust. System no longer works. Stay away from this system and get something that works.

Good buy, few minor setbacks

The "wireless" rear speakers are NOT wireless, The piece they connect too is. Still better than running wires across the room i suppose. Its behind my couch, and i have a speaker on each side. The interface is good. I listen to pandora alot, Youtube is kind of hard to use though. Tuner function seems to be alright depending on weather. Playing music, NO SOUND COMES FROM THE REAR SPEAKERS. I was disappointed when i found this out. Only the sub, center speaker, and front left and right speakers play music. I will say though while watching the movie Fury, the bullet ricochet had me ducking a few times. Overall pretty happy. The only two setbacks i have is 1) No sound from rear speakers during music and 2) Nowhere in the manual, or on the website does it state you need a audio cable if your TV isnt a samsung (I have a Vizio) HDMI cables WILL NOT WORK. Overall a good system.

- A:Answer The subwoofer, center, front left, and front right speakers are all wired directly to the player. The left and right surround sound speakers are wired to a separate box that has a wireless connection to the player. This keeps you from having to run wire across the room to the player.

Q: QuestionSpeaker volume controlCan you control the volume from the various speakers independent of each other. Basically trying to be able to hear voices rather than all the other background sound.

- A:Answer Yes you can. There are two ways to control each speaker... there is adjustment for dB level of each speaker and there is a 'distance' adjustment for each speaker as well.

- A:Answer yes. there is a flexible cord antenae and the stations came in clear. you have to go through all stations individually to program it to set for the one you want. it allows 15 programed in stations. no AM radio.

- A:Answer No, all speakers should work. I have mine set up with an optical cable and everything works. The only thing is that, yes they do sound lower in volume than the rest, but everything should work together.

Q: QuestionJust bought this unit. Am I doing something wrong or are the rear speakers really that low in volume. I have adjusted the individual volume and the distance, both to the max and you have to put your ear by them to even hear them. What am I missing?

- A:Answer I had the same problem. Then I reread and instructions said rear speakers are not always in use. Sometimes for special effects only.
