• I have a big dog, too. I set the tv up high on a flat surface. The legs are not very long, but they are sturdy. However, I would probably choose to mount it on the wall with bouncing fur babies.

• As long as the floor and the stand you put it on are steady, it should be good. It's actually a pretty solid design.
