• I think what you may be looking for is the glare factor. This monitor has somewhat of a matte finish, but more to the point, it has a nice anti-glare finish that provides great viewing quality even in bright light. I have a floor lamp next to my desk, and the lamp does not reflect in the monitor and bounce back into my face. Is that what you were asking?

• The screen itself is glossy. If the monitor were turned off and you were to sit in front of it in a well lit room, you can see a clear reflection of yourself in it.
