There are NO external control buttons on my monitor. The monitor works fine but there are no control buttons on it. Why not ?

There are actually five buttons, located flush in the bezel of the monitor, on the lower edge of the frame, directly next to the disc-shaped power button. When you press one, options will appear. Look for the white triangles that point to various options. Those triangles also relate to the buttons underneath, so when you want to do something, press the button that is directly underneath the corresponding triangle. You'll have to select a function to enter it, then press buttons again to do "more" and "less"

As you are looking at the screen, the monitor control buttons are on the bottom right side.

I thought so too, but there actually are. If you feel your way to the left of the power button, there are four or so buttons to adjust the screen settings.

There are NO adjustment buttons anywhere  on my Acer KA242Y G0bi monitor. And nothing in the manual. See the 3 photos: back, bottom, and serial number.

I purchased the AOPEN 22CV1G 21.5 Monitor, I am unable to locate any adjustment buttons, this is my 3rd screen so I can not go through settings to adjust, how to correct the brightness.  Thanks

This is about the Acer EK220Q monitor and how to control its brightness when using it as a second monitor. I could not find ANY buttons either but you don't need buttons. When the monitor is on press the on/off button once (not too long or it goes off). Now use the same on/off button and move it up or down or right or left to where it says Brightness. Click on the on/off button to choose it. Then move it right or left to adjust brightness. Then click the on/off button again to deselect brightness. This was ridiculously hard to find out. I have a MacBook Pro and needed a 2nd monitor attached and couldn't find an answer to this issue. Hope it helps. And you all are correct - THERE ARE NO BUTTONS OTHER THAN THE ON/OFF BUTTON!

The power button on the right. Feel right next to it on the left. Those are the controls. The power is yours.

The external control buttons you are looking for are underneath the monitor. They are all right next to the power button. If you put your fingers under the monitor next to the power button you can feel them. Unfortunately, the buttons are not labeled so it is hard to guess what is what.

the control buttons are hard to find. They are on the bottom right corner to the left of the blue on/off switch. Put your index finger on the blue switch and slowly move it one finger width to the left until you feel a slight rise. Push up on that little bump and there are three more little bumps to the left of that. It took a while to figure them out and they don't stay on the screen long.

The control buttons including the power on/off button are at the lower right hand corner. All control buttons except the power button are kind of hidden. You can locate them from the on screen menu. In this case, the buttons won't be accidentally pushed when you pick up the monitor from the bottom.
