I bought two of these and the only way I found the answer was to look on the box. It's neither TN or IPS. It's something called VA, a compromise of technologies. Read this if your curious about it. http://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/1890-panel-comparison-tn-ips-pls-va-crt.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's a TN panel. As a rule, any monitor this size for that price will be TN. IPS panels are about 50% more expensive. You can also tell by the response time. TN monitors are usually 2-5ms, and IPS monitors are usually about 10-15ms.
