I found the default brightness settings very low and was even considering returning the laptop because of it. Luckily, I found out how to change it. Type in "Intel graphics" in the search area and open that control panel. Go to the "color settings" menu and change settings there. My screen is now glowing bright!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The review you mentioned is for a lower tier model of Acer Laptops. This Acer ASPIRE R 14 has a different technology for its high resolution display. It is really quite fine, in my experience.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't think human's eyes are capable of perceiving huge differences between different laptops but this was among the very good ones if not the best I compared at Best Buy. After a week of working with it to be honest I kept the brightness at half and it not at all bad whatsoever the full brightness. There was no light leak also in my Acer.
