No fingerprint reader on this version. Yes, it is the 2021 EVO 11th gen i5 but this particular model (CP713-3W-5102) does not have the scanner. See photos attached, and link to the product page on acer's website: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model/NX.AHAAA.001 And if you need more convincing, check out all of the photos from the reviewers... no fingerprint scanner

Although the photos on Acer website show a variant with the fingerprint scanner, if you READ the specs you will see that it says “No” fingerprint scanner. See attached screenshot

Still slightly confused as this is an Evo rated laptop. According to Evo specifications, biometric security is a requirement for the sticker.

The Chromebook version DOES NOT have a fingerprint scanner.

No despite the Evo certification there is NO fingerprint scanner. Too bad. It should have one at this price.

According to everything I have read and the research I have done the 2021 Model has Fingerprint Recognition. The 2020 Models Do Not so that is why there is so much confusion. I have to believe some people are getting the 2020 model and some are getting the 2021 model. If you need the Fingerprint Recognition then you definitely need to make sure you get the 2021 model hopefully this will help.

Or it must support facial recognition for login. It doesn't _have_ to be a fingerprint reader.
