No remote comes with this item. I use the Comcast remote or their remote app on my phone. I have an older Comcast box that uses inferred, direct line of sight. The TV I usually watch, has a wire from the box to a little receiver stuck to the front of the TV. You can get this at a Comcast office or they will mail it to you. Some of the newer Comcast boxes use WiFi. The remote will work in any room with WiFi connectivity. You can get an extra Remote from Comcast or Walmart. If you don’t have Comcast, ask your cable provider.
