• Yes, as long as there are minimal barriers between the 2 TVs. This device can transmit the signal to the receiving TV through a brick & windowed wall to a porch on the same level. When I tried to use a TV that was on a different floor inside my house, the signal was intermittent. The transmitting device is connected between a cable box & TV (via HDMI). The transmitting TV does not have to be turned on, as long as the cable box is on. The receiving device is connected directly to the second TV via HDMI.
