• The laptop fans only get a bit loud if you're playing a game. The price is because it's probably on sale. I bought back at the end of July for like $1199 and it's really good. Even came with a free mat and a game.

• Its loud depending on what you are doing. Um its on sale? Thats why its 1299... And this is a gaming laptop so its good for your son looking at the specifications...
