This likely is an aspect ration matter. Your Tv has a built in aspect ration (electronic width and height.) If your video source material has a different aspect ration you will eithe see black bars at the top and bottom of your screen or you will see full screen with part of the picture cut off. If this is the cause of your iissue there is little you can do other than understand the phenomena. Good luck and happy viewing.
