I would imagine you would have to MacGyver it but doubt the unit can power your panel. With that being said, my electric bill increased about $5-6/month.

It is 60w power consumption, if you get electricity for 11.2c/kwh, that means 1000w running for 1h is $0.11 If you had the light on 24/7, and you electricity is 11.2c/kwh, it would cost $4.91 per month. You could always spend 500$ on a Jackery plus solar panel though if you felt it was important.

Technically if you can attach a solar panel to it in a way where the grow light charges the solar panel which charges a battery and feeds it back into the grow light youll be able to slightly offset the cost of electricity but you'll never fully get 100% (or even 30%) efficiency back, so you'll still have to rely on plugging it in to provide the reset of the power... it's impractical and more expensive than it's worth if a user does it, but if Aerogarden where to do this it would be much more feasible and cost effective
