- Answer The Salad Bar Seed Pod kit comes with 9 Lettuce Pods (Black Seeded Simpson (2), Deer Tongue, Parris Island, Red Sail, Marvel of 4 Seasons (2), Rouge D'Hiver (2)), 3 Herb Pods (Chives, Dill, & Genovese Basil), and 12 Tomato Pods (Golden Harvest Cherry Tomato (6), Red Heirloom Cherry Tomato (6). These are the smaller cherry tomatoes. AeroGarden does also offer a Mega Cherry Tomato Seed Pod kit with the medium size tomatoes.

QuestionWould it be possible to attach small solar panel to create light? Couldn’t imagine the power bill....

- Answer I would imagine you would have to MacGyver it but doubt the unit can power your panel. With that being said, my electric bill increased about $5-6/month.

- Answer Yes, you can grow full sized tomatoes in the Farm XL model of Aerogarden due to its increased grow height. You will still want to prune early and often, but that is to make sure to have the biggest harvests possible. - Answer Shipping package size is about 17" x 17" x 48" in height. Not real heavy but it was kind of an awkward size for the UPS guy to carry and drop off at my door.

- Answer No, you can't grow plants to full maturity, unless it's maybe 4 auto flowering plants. I highly recommend you watch a few videos on YouTube about dwc growing in 5 gallon buckets. It's much cheaper, and allows you to customize your grow space. You can then get into fogponics, as well. I bought a bunch of black buckets, 6in net pot lids, hydroton, general hydroponics nutrients, an adjustable grow light, an 8-port pump, and air stones, all for around 200 bucks.

QuestionCan the wifi and Alexa connectivity be turned completely off with an airplane mode or similar function? We are sensitive to electro magnetic fields (EMF) and cannot use any devices that automatically try to connect to wifi, even when not activated.

- Answer I own 3 of these gardens and each one I've had to manually go into the menu and tell it to connect to the Wi-Fi. It doesn't search for or ping networks on it's own. I work as an IT Admin and I'm pretty confident in my answer. Hope this helps.

QuestionIs this energy efficient? Average increase to electric bill running 12hrs a day for 30 days?

- Answer You won't see a huge increase in your electric bill. 120 watts multiplied by hrs of use, then you devide that by 1000, you mulitiply by what you pay for kwh, then multiply by 30. That will give you the monthly cost. Exp: I pay .05 for per kwh, 120x16= 1,920÷1000= 1.92x.05= .096x30= $2.88 for 30 days

QuestionWith AreoGarden counter top size, I had herbs during cold dreary months. However the roots grew together and it was difficult to replace pods. Feeding solution and plastic around the pods turned green. Have you noticed these problems with your kit? Fix??

- Answer No. It helps to drain your unit every other feeding. During that time trim and wash the roots and clean the bowl. You can wipe the algae off the top of the grow spong.
