“How would these type headphones work for riding a motorcycle? Being able to hear traffic would be a definite plus. And would the noise cancelling microphone still work correctly if you were at highway speeds?”

Id be iffy on this one. When I've been running, next to traffic and with wind in my ears, it would be hard for folks to hear me. Not sure how it would work if you cut the wind with, say, a helmet and such. But at least my pair picked up background noise too... just recently my Dad had to hang up on me because he could hear a baby crying 4 aisles away from me when I was at Costco.

If you do not wear a helmet they would work well for listening to music and still able to hear the sounds around you if you maintain safe volume. Not sure about the microphone question.
