• Yes you can play solo offline, it’s great!

• You can play offline and you'll be grouped with 2 synths. When you crank up the difficulty those synths become a liability though.

• It has single player offline mode with two artificial intelligence computer players that help you in the campaign. If you play online, one or two friends can join your campaign and step into those players roles. So no, when the servers go down in 10 years, you will still be able to play single player campaign.
