• This item is 20.5 inches wide, which would not give you allowable room to work.

• My laptop is 16.5 inches wide and I can use it on the table. Just decrease the amount of area left for the mouse area to about 4 inches wide.

• Yes. My laptop is 17in and there's a little space left there! DEPENDING on how much space you need. The width that left for me is about 3-4 inches!

• No real room on the right side, if your laptop is 17" or bigger. That was my concern when I bought it, and started using it. But it is ergonomically friendly.
